Dr Nick Gray

After 25 years in resource management, sales management and
communications roles for a major high-tech consultancy business,
I am an expert in what makes a people-based SME work.

During my years as Chief Operating Officer at Analysys Mason, I developed and operated resource allocation processes to match the demands of clients against staff availability, skills and career objectives, in order to provide robust project solutions. I also designed and implemented measurement systems giving timely insight into the sales pipeline, highlighting bottlenecks and risks, and informing key decisions on market focus, project pricing and investment. The combination of these two roles was crucial in Analysys Consulting's transformation from academic think-tank to top strategy consultancy in its field.

Following the acquisition of Analysys by international IT services company Datatec to form the Analysys Mason Group, I remained in place to bring my expertise to the wider group, and to help guide its investment in professional services automation systems. Now that this work is close to completion, I have left my full-time role with the company in order to explore opportunities in other enterprises with similar attributes and challenges.
