Designed and developed processes for resource management of consulting business. Operated and refined those processes through quadrupling of resource-base to 100 professionals, and merger with another consultancy with similar resource base.

Responsible for effective operation of all stages of project lifecycle (lead, proposal, contract, execution and billing) and for availability of key metrics (utilisation, profitability, orders, hit-rate, backlog, sales risk, etc).

Managed growth in consultancy project turnover from £3m to £18m per year. Developed revenue tracking and forecasting processes to keep pace with this growth, providing sector managers and the Board with the means to understand the state of the sales pipeline at any time, informing strategic and tactical decisions on the basis of accurate assessments of revenue impact and opportunity cost.

Adapted resource and pipeline management tools to address challenges of growth, short-term fluctuation (market vs resource constraints), and also the recession in the telecoms consulting sector following the dotcom crash.

Operational management of joint venture with leading investment bank to develop equity research expertise for the telecoms and digital media sector.
